Playday #whatrescuehorsescando Competition

We’re excited to announce a new event for the play day this year:  The #Whatrescuehorsescando Freestyle Competition!

This event is open to foster homes and adopters from Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society.  Each participant will get three minutes (plus two minutes to move in/clear out props) in the arena to show off what their horse can do.  Each participant’s routine can be set to music if they wish.

Champions are awarded in all three divisions and prizes are given to all who enter!

We’ll have three divisions:

  • Professional Trainer: Professional trainers competing under saddle or in hand with a horse they’ve adopted or are currently training for Bluebonnet.
  • Bluebonnet Horse in Hand: Foster homes and adopters competing with their foster or adopted horse in hand or at liberty (not under saddle).
  • Bluebonnet Horse Under Saddle: Foster homes and adopters competing with their foster or adopted horse under saddle.

The cost to enter is $25, payable at the event.  We want all competitors to sign up ahead of time so we can have prizes ready and allot plenty of time.  Entries close March 28.

We would love to see you posting about your preparation for the event on social media, and we would like you to use the hashtag #whatrescuehorsescando when you post.

Participants who are enrolled in the #whatrescuehorsescando Award Program will earn 5 points for participating in this freestyle competition in addition to earning points for their placings (to count towards the #whatrescuehorsescando program year end awards).
